Core Status Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 19, 2026 · MAXXSOFTWARE INC. · Contact: support@maxxsoftware.com

The short version: Core Status does not collect your data. Core Status is a system monitor that shows your Mac's CPU (and GPU) core utilization. It has no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising trackers. It never connects to the internet, and nothing it reads ever leaves your device.

Information we collect

None. The app has no accounts and does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. It works entirely offline.

System data the app reads (on your device only)

To draw the meters, Core Status reads standard macOS performance information in real time — per-core CPU utilization (via the system's processor-info APIs) and overall GPU utilization and core count (via IOKit). This information is used only to render the live display on your screen and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. It also reads your Mac's model identifier and chip name (e.g. "Apple M5 Max", "Mac17,6") purely to label the window.

What the app does not use

Purchases

Core Status is a one-time paid app sold through the Apple App Store. Payment is processed entirely by Apple under its privacy policy; we do not receive or store your name, payment details, or any other billing information.

Children

Core Status is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Because the app collects no data from any user, it collects no data from children.

Changes

If a future version ever changes these practices (for example, by adding online features or analytics), we will update this policy first and reflect the change in the app's App Store privacy label.
